Children ages 2 1/2 and up are able to go on many field trips throughout the year. Typically 1 per month during the school year, and even more during the summer months. Some of our favorite field trips are to the children's museum, plays at Viterbo, local farms, and the apple orchard. These trips require a signed permission slip and additional payment for admission and a bus fee.
We also enjoy some fun walking field trips! Weather permitting, we will walk to the park to play and have a picnic lunch. Some other nearby walking trips include a tour of Petco, Festival Foods, and Sam's Club Bakery!
Dance & Swim Lessons
We know how busy weeknights can be between picking kids up from school, sports, fixing dinner, etc. For this reason and your convenience, we are able to offer a couple extracurricular activities during your child's day at Children's Tree House: Dance lessons at Misty's Dance Unlimited, and swim lessons at Dahl YMCA. For dance, a staff member walks the children to Misty's and stays with them throughout the lesson. For swim, children and staff are bussed to the YMCA and teachers accompany the children to their lesson. These services are at an additional charge and spots are limited. Both dance and swim lessons are offered to children at least three years of age who are fully potty trained.
Visitors
Sometimes the fun of field trips comes to us at the center! We have several businesses in our community visit Children's Tree House throughout the year such as the Onalaska Police and Fire Departments, Misty's Dance, Topper's Pizza, and local doctor and dentist offices. These visits are educational and so fun for the kids!
